Soaring Sounds 2016
The Miller Soaring Sounds Show Choir has represented the Miller Community quite well at all of their competitions (a list of their awards is below). They had an exceptional work ethic where they were constantly critiquing themselves to better their performances. Not only did they work hard during their class time throughout the week, but also attended after school rehearsals every Tuesday night from 6-8 PM. In the end all of their hard work paid off during the 2016 Show Choir Season.
Their show, Mirrors, poses the question of how one lives. "In reality, there are two sides of life that one may choose to live in, shadow and light. At times, the shadows of life may overwhelm anyone who ventures there. However, at the end of that darkness there is always light. Which side do you choose?," program notes. During Soaring Sounds final competition, they sold this question and message to the audience and judges. Allowing them to bring home their third First Place Trophy in Class 2A against competition. Not only did they have the top score in our class, but their score was high enough that they would have been able to place Fourth in Class 3A. The hard work these students placed in their rehearsals and performance times truly showed in every action and sound they created.
